Your months
All 12 months of this year, scored against your chart.
What decides each month — the heavenly stem of that month's pillar
Each row is decided by a single character: the heavenly stem (天干) of that month's pillar. If its element is one your chart needs, the month is marked sunny and scores 82. If it is the element your chart already leans on too hard, it is marked rainy and scores 60. Everything else is marked partly cloudy and scores 70. Those three are the only scores there are, and the row shows the tier rather than the number. The earthly branch printed next to the stem names the month; it does not change the verdict.
| Stem of the year (年干) | Stem of that year's first month (寅月) |
|---|---|
| 甲·己 | 丙Fire |
| 乙·庚 | 戊Earth |
| 丙·辛 | 庚Metal |
| 丁·壬 | 壬Water |
| 戊·癸 | 甲Wood |
The stems are not chosen month by month. The first month of the Saju year takes the stem in this table, and from there the pillars walk the 10 stems one step per month. The January row sits before Lichun, the start of spring in early February, so it is still the last month of the previous Saju year. That is why the same calendar month carries a different stem every year, and why your twelve months form a different pattern each year without anything in your chart changing.
Why a Saju month never begins on the 1st
| Month | Earthly branch | Opens on |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 丑Ox | 5–7 |
| 2 | 寅Tiger | 4–5 |
| 3 | 卯Rabbit | 5–7 |
| 4 | 辰Dragon | 5–6 |
| 5 | 巳Snake | 5–7 |
| 6 | 午Horse | 5–7 |
| 7 | 未Goat | 7–8 |
| 8 | 申Monkey | 7–9 |
| 9 | 酉Rooster | 7–9 |
| 10 | 戌Dog | 8–10 |
| 11 | 亥Pig | 7–9 |
| 12 | 子Rat | 7–8 |
A Saju month turns the moment a solar term (節) enters, not on the first of the month. The third column is measured rather than assumed: across the years 2000 to 2100 each month opened on one of those days. Every row on this page reads the pillar of the 15th, which is always past that door. The dot in front of one row marks the solar-term month you are in right now, so in the days before a term enters it can sit on a different row than your wall calendar suggests, yet it always agrees with the month reading on the home screen.
Which elements your chart needs is read from the chart as a whole. With no birth time we count three pillars instead of four, and some months can come out at a different tier. We do not invent an hour you did not give us.
The sentence on each row is one of three written for that tier, picked by your birth date, so the same person always reads the same twelve sentences. This screen never asks for your sex and never uses one.
How the 12-month view is calculated
The year ahead, month by month, each scored against your Four Pillars chart.
Each month's pillar is sampled on the 15th of that calendar month — always past that month's 節氣 (solar-term) boundary, so the month shown is the correct solar-term month, not a plain calendar month.
We don't predict specific events in any month, and we don't attach a percentage. No medical, legal, or financial advice.
How the 12-month view is calculated
Because a solar-term month doesn't line up with the calendar month — it starts on a 節氣 date that can fall a few days into or before the 1st. Sampling on the 15th guarantees we're always past that boundary.
No — this reads your own day-master strength against each month's real solar-term pillar, not a generic sign-based horoscope.
Yes — 82 points for a supportive month, 70 for steady, 60 for careful, computed from whether that month's real solar-term element matches your favorable or unfavorable element. Only the mood word and one of three fixed lines for that mood ever reach the screen; the number stays internal, the same design as the weekly and daily views.
