Your privacy, plainly

Bokki is built to be light and trustworthy. Here’s the honest version.

Your birthday

We use it only to calculate your Saju sign, in your browser. We don’t require an account, and your birthday is kept on your own device (local storage) so you don’t have to type it again — it is not sent to us or stored on a server. If you add other people (family, friends), their birthdays are kept the same way — on your device only — and you can see and delete them any time from the saved-people list on the home screen.

Your readings

Your recent readings are saved on your device so you can look back at them. You can clear them anytime by clearing your browser data.

Ads & cookies

Bokki is free, supported by gentle, clearly-labelled ads. When ads are enabled we use Google AdSense, which (and its partners) may use cookies or device identifiers to show and measure ads. We never show full-screen ads before your reading, and we avoid predatory categories (gambling, crypto, sketchy wellness). In regions that require it (EU/UK), you’ll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can choose non-personalized ads.

Analytics

We count page views two ways, so we can tell which readings people actually find useful. Vercel Analytics sets no cookies and builds no profile of you — we see totals (how many visits, from which country, on what kind of device), never individuals. We also use Google Analytics, which uses a small cookie to tell visits apart. In the EU/UK we don't set that cookie unless you say yes to a small banner first — and if you decline, everything works exactly the same. You can block or clear cookies in your browser anytime. Either way, your birthday and readings are never part of any analytics; those stay on your device.

Your choices

Everything you create lives on your device — clear your browser data to erase it anytime. You can opt out of personalized ads via your Google Ad Settings, and manage cookies in your browser. Bokki is meant for ages 13+. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
