How does a tarot draw work?

How this tarot draw is calculated

A deterministic draw from the 22-card Major Arcana, upright or reversed, for the spread you choose.

Draws use the same seeded, deterministic engine as the rest of the site — the same seed always produces the same cards in the same order. Card meanings follow the standard Rider-Waite-Smith tradition, and a reversed card reads as blocked or internalized energy, never as 'bad'.

We don't predict a specific event — this is a mirror for reflection. We also take care that a card's name doesn't get mistranslated into a local word with an unrelated meaning.

How this tarot draw is calculated

Is the draw truly random, or can I reproduce it?

It's seeded and deterministic rather than freshly random — the same seed always draws the same cards in the same order, the same way our rune and Ogham draws work.

Does a reversed card mean something bad happened to me?

No — a reversed card is read as blocked or internalized energy, not as a bad card. We never attach a guaranteed outcome to any card.
