Dreaming of a baby
New beginnings, and the doorway into 태몽 — the Korean tradition of dreams that announce a child, dreamed as often by relatives as by the mother.
A baby in a dream is read in Korean 해몽 as something beginning: a project, a role, a version of your life that has just been born and cannot look after itself yet. It is also the entrance to 태몽, the tradition of conception dreams, which in Korea are not private. A 태몽 is often dreamed by a grandmother, an aunt, a sibling — and it is kept and retold for the child's whole life. The old books read a bright, healthy, quiet baby as the clean form of the sign. A crying baby they read more carefully: as something newly begun that needs attention now rather than later.

Beyond the tradition, babies show up in dreams around beginnings that feel fragile: the first weeks of anything, when it is not yet clear whether the thing will hold. If the dream left you tender, that fits. Tenderness is the right posture for something that new.
Is a baby dream always a pregnancy dream?
No. It is one reading among several, and the tradition reads new beginnings just as often. A 태몽 is usually recognised afterwards, not decided in the morning.
I dreamed it for my daughter, not myself. Does that count?
In Korea that is the normal case. 태몽 are commonly dreamed by mothers, grandmothers, aunts and close friends, and the dream is kept in the family either way.
Can a dream tell me whether it is a boy or a girl?
Folklore assigns signs to each, and the old books contradict one another so often that we will not repeat them as fact. It is a story to enjoy, not information.

None of this symbol's Hangul words is a one-syllable noun plus a case particle, so none of them needs that extra left-boundary rule.
Latin-script words count at word boundaries only, so a longer word that merely happens to contain those letters does not count. The plural tails -s and -es are allowed, so a plural still counts as the same word.
One more rule: a word written as a stem on purpose is matched without looking at its right-hand edge, which is how its inflected forms are caught. On this list that applies to: embaraz · grávid
Japanese and Han-character words have no space marking where a word ends, so they are still matched as plain substrings. We would rather say that than pretend the reader is cleverer than it is.
